MGI has received the following awards and recognition from foreign and domestic institutions for outstanding leadership and playing a positive role in the contribution to the country's economy and employment generation by establishing a vast number of industries.

• "Nawab Sir Salimullah Foundation Smriti Gold Medal" awarded by Nawab Sir Salimullah Foundation for Industrialization of the country in 2005. Hon’ble President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Iajuddin Ahmed handed over the award.
• Mercantile Bank Business Award, 2011.
• "International Quality Crown Award, New York 2007" by Business Initiative Directions (B.I.D) Spain for outstanding performance for the Industrialization of the country. Mr. Jose E. Prieto, President of B.I.D. handed over the award.
• Received National Export Trophy (Gold) from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh on 20th November, 2013, for outstanding performance in export trade, 2010-2011.
• Achieved National Export Trophy (Gold) again for the year 2011-2012 in recognition of superlative performance for 100% export oriented Tanveer Polymer Industries Ltd. and received the Trophy from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on 28th August, 2016, at a ceremony hosted jointly by the Ministry of Commerce & Export Promotion Bureau.
• Received Certificate from Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources for being the Best Organization on the Occasion of Power & Energy Week 2016.
• "Enterprise of the year 2016 award" of the prestigious 16th DHL - The Daily Star Bangladesh Business Awards in recognition of outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and as a role model in corporate business. The Chairman of Meghna Group of Industries received the award from the Hon’ble Water Resources Minister on 5th May 2017 at a ceremony held in Hotel Radisson Blu, Dhaka.
• Received award from the Indo-UAE Business & Social Forum in Dubai on 9 May 2018, on being recognized as one of "The World's greatest leaders for 2017-18" with another award recognizing the group’s food brand "Fresh" as one of "The world’s greatest brands."
• Received the Primaduta Award in 2018 from the Govt. of Indonesia in “Prospective Market’’ category at the 33rd Trade Expo Indonesia in Jakarta on October 24 for excellent trade relations with Indonesia by Indonesia Govt.
• Selected as CIP (Export) 2017 for outstanding contribution in export and received the CIP Card from Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Commerce, on 18th September 2019.
• Received “1st HSBC Business Excellence Award” in “Special Achievement Category” from Hon’ble Commerce Minister, on January 18, 2020 for MGI’s significant contribution to the country’s GDP and Socio-Economic impact. The award was hosted by The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Bangladesh in association with the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh and Department for International Trade, UK Government.
• The National Export Trophy (Gold) for the year 2018-2019 was awarded to TCCL as the highest exporter of chemical and the trophy was received by Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Chairman and Managing Director, MGI and Barrister Tasnim Mostafa, Director, MGI.
• Received the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Peace Award 2022. Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Chairman and Managing Director of MGI, was honored during a special event organized by the India-Bangladesh Friendship Association and South Asia Business Partnership.
• Selected as the CIP (Export) 2021 for outstanding contribution in exports and on behalf of Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Chairman and Managing Director of MGI, received the CIP Card by Mr. Tanveer Mostafa, Director, MGI from Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Commerce on 25th June 2023.
• Awarded with the special category ‘Iconic Business Leader’ award at ‘Bangladesh C-Suite Awards 2023’ organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) on November 11, 2023 in Dhaka and Former Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Muhammad A.(Rumee) Ali handed over the award to Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Chairman and Managing Director of MGI.
